Happy 1st Anniversary Ben and Jen

It hardly seems possible my son's wedding was one year ago today in Seoul, South Korea. The "Year of the White Tiger" brought Ben and Jen's graduation from Princeton, June 1st, and then, their wedding on June 28th. We rounded out the celebration with a Post-Wedding reception back home. The invitation, above, is the Lallie invitation we designed. Happy anniversary to Ben and Jen!

Wedding details

Calling all brides! Wedding reception place cards don't need to be expensive...these from Classic Impressions are less than 50¢ a piece. We used the first line for the Bride and Groom's names, the second line for the date and no third line. They are elegantly embossed and include envelopes!

Monogram Heaven

I can't get over the sheer beauty, variety and elegance of the monograms offered by Leontine Linens. My dream home would have these linens on every bed...  in every bath...in different color palettes to coordinate. Sighhhh...aren't they lovely?

Social Media Awareness

We all need to pay attention to Facebook, Twitter and social media we use. We may unwittingly subject ourselves, our computers and our private information to hackers. Here is a legitimate post I followed thru on and am glad I did:
"FB security change/account update needed: Look at your URL address (top box on your screen.) If you see ‘http’ instead of "https" you DO NOT have a secure session and can be hacked. Go to Account-Account Settings -Account Security, click Change. Check box (secure browsing, click Save.) FB has automatically set it on the non-secure setting. Do your friends a favor, copy and re-post."
These social media venues change constantly in the "features" they offer. Do yourself a favor and make a pact with yourself to review your account settings once a week!

The art of design

Markham Roberts continues to interpret clients needs, visions and dreams with glorious final products, as shown here. As with interior decorating and architecture, the art of paper, whether in personal stationery, invitations or announcements, also reflects these same concepts. The Paper Post is please to congratulate our longtime client, Markham, on his latest feature in House Beautiful magazine!

Monograms vs. Initials

These two terms, Monograms and  Initials, are often times used interchangeably...and incorrectly!
A Monogram is a design typically using three alphabetic letters combined or interlaced of one's initials, with the center letter delineating the LAST NAME and being sized larger the the side letters.
Initials is a design typically using three alphabetic letters of one's initials.  The letters are placed in the same order as the name and are in the same size.
